Maggie has lived in the South End of Hagerstown for nearly 3 years. She is a loving wife and a proud stepmom to a wonderful 12-year-old boy. In her professional life, Maggie is a dedicated advocate for students and a life-long ally of the Deaf and hard of hearing community. She loves American Sign Language and seeks to celebrate the many strengths of individuals with disabilities. Maggie believes strongly in inclusivity and will seek to support accommodations which enhance community life for all. In her free time, she enjoys walking the family’s two beloved dogs, hiking local mountain trails, thrifting, and crafting. Maggie also loves to have fun in the kitchen cooking and baking, and her friends and family are always eager to taste-test her creations. She enjoys photography, poetry, and capturing the beauty of people and places. Maggie has never met a stranger. Her husband knows that wherever the family goes, Maggie will strike up conversations and find common ground with anyone… which he may not always understand… being from Montgomery County… 😉Her favorite thing about living in the South End community is “just how friendly and outgoing the community members are. Everyone waves and nods when I walk my dogs.”
